Freshly treated skin burns faster. Here is when to start sunscreen again and what to look for on the label.
Microneedling and peels leave skin more sensitive to the sun for a week or two. In Scottsdale, that makes sunscreen part of the treatment, not an extra.
For the first day after microneedling, keep your skin clean and shaded with a hat. From day two, use a mineral sunscreen with zinc oxide, SPF 30 or higher, and reapply every two hours outdoors.
Look for broad-spectrum on the label, which covers both UVA and UVB. A tinted formula also helps with visible light, which can darken pigment on some skin types.
